The Chapter's 2010 annual dinner will be held June 19, 6:30 pm, at the Palo Alto Middlefield Meetinghouse at 3865 Middlefield Road (same location as last year). Our speaker this year will be Lew Cramer, speaking on "How JRCLS members can help create a globally competitive future for ourselves and our posterity." A little about Lew:
Lew Cramer is the co-founder and the CEO/President of the World Trade Center Utah, where he has served since 2006. Previously, he founded Summit Ventures, an international consulting firm in Washington, DC, following many years as an executive of US WEST International. He served in the Reagan and Bush I administrations as a White House Fellow with the U.S. Trade Representative, as Assistant Secretary of Commerce for International Trade, as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Science and Electronics, and Director General of the U.S and Foreign Commercial Service, where he directed the activities of 1400 commercial officers at over 150 embassies worldwide and in 65 U.S. offices. Previously, he practiced corporate law in Los Angeles and in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has taught at the business schools of the University of Southern California and Georgetown University. He is a graduate of the charter class of the Brigham Young University Law School, and is former International Chair of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society.
